Sharq Restaurant

In North Al-Rifaa in Hofuf, Sharq Restaurant occupies the building of the historic Hamidiyah Souq. Its Al-Ahsa branch was the brand's first, opening before the Samhaniyah branch in Diriyah, which followed in January 2024. The kitchen is Hasawi cooking in a contemporary register: starters such as harees balls and shrimp fatteh; main dishes the restaurant groups under the word aysh, among them Hasawi rice, sleeq lamb shanks and Hasawi majboos; a breakfast section it calls Rayouq Sharq; and sweets including balaleet and date cake. The brand's registered name is simply Sharq Restaurant — Qaisariyah is the name of this branch rather than part of the name itself. The brand now runs branches in Diriyah and Abha alongside Al-Ahsa, and its other Al-Ahsa branch at The Valley has closed.
