The Women's Folk Souq is a traditional market in the South Al-Rifaa district of Hofuf, at the heart of the old Suwaiq market area and one of the city's living folk-trade scenes, selling clothes and everyday household goods. Open daily 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.
In the South Al-Rifaa district of Hofuf lies the Women's Folk Souq, a traditional stall market at the heart of the old Suwaiq market area. It takes its name from its traders: the sellers here are women of Al-Ahsa, both local women and Bedouin, offering a range of goods, some of them their own handiwork. The souq is open to everyone, women and men alike. It stands on King Abdulaziz Road in central Hofuf. Al-Ahsa Municipality has carried out development works on the souq, which remains one of Hofuf's living folk-trade scenes, selling clothes, ghee, aqit (dried yoghurt) and more.
