Kafu Nights is an annual Ramadan community festival organised by King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa Governorate; its first edition was held in 2024. “Kafu” comes from an Arabic verb meaning “to be rewarded”: to earn reward and praise. Among the highlights of the nights is the “Ghabqa”, a popular meal and social custom held on the nights of the holy month of Ramadan in the Arabian Gulf states.
