Ibrahim Palace

A prominent Hofuf landmark north of Al-Kut district. It blends the religious style (arches, domes, and a mosque mihrab) with the military style (massive towers, soldiers' barracks, and horse stables). Restored into a museum that hosts events, foremost the Hajar Heritage Festival.

Qaisariyah Souq

The region's largest covered market, with around 400 shops. Founded in the Ottoman era (cited as 1822), in the heart of historic Hofuf between Ibrahim Palace and the Amiriah School. It offers bishts, abayas, perfumes, incense, coffee beans, dates, and handicrafts.

Sahood Palace

A historic military fort in Al-Mubarraz, believed to have been built during the First Saudi State over 300 years ago. It's best to confirm visitor access before going.

Historic Jawatha Mosque

About 20 km northeast of Hofuf, one of the oldest Islamic sites in Arabia. Built by Banu Abd al-Qais in the 7th year of the Hijra, it holds special significance as the second mosque where Friday prayer was held in Islam after the Prophet's Mosque. Restored within the Historic Mosques program.

Al-Qarah Mountain & Caves

Al-Ahsa's natural icon, about 15 km east of Hofuf, with reddish sedimentary rock formations. It's famed for caves that stay nearly constant in temperature year-round (around 20°C) with cool, gentle air currents — the most famous being the Al-Nashshab cave.
